ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am an Award-Winning Freelance Graphic Designer and Professional Artist with a BFA in Fine Arts and more than 25 years of corporate design experience.
 

I began working in the graphic design field immediately after graduation from college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Currently I work a freelance designer. As a freelancer, I work with a variety of clients - from large national and international corporations to a brand new local mom and pop shop just starting a business. I specialize in a variety of services and media: creating website designs and social media presences, branding or rebranding your corporation or product, designing marketing media, producing online landing pages and banners, creating newsletters, print ads, brochures, company branding, logos, and promotional material for businesses, events, and artists. I can just about do it all.

 

I am also the former Communications Director for ChristPoint Methodist Church (formerly First United Methodist Church) in Lindale, Texas. This opportunity allowed me to use my gifts and serve the church. I completely rebranded all of the church's local presence, created and maintained their website, church app, social media, and designed various communications and promotional material for the church. Because of the extensive work I did for First UMC Lindale, the Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church gave me the Excellence in Communication award in 2016.

 

For nine years prior to my freelance work I worked with Deloitte, a large international accounting firm, as a Senior Graphic Designer for the Business Development department. (Deloitte’s equivalent to Art Director). I had taken it upon myself to be a leader in our group and to strive for excellence in all of my projects.  Many of my responsibilities included all aspects of our project design process - from conception to production to completion - in desktop publishing, design and illustration, and all within a cross-platform environment.

 

I work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines with a variety of people, outside clients, and vendors in order to create the best products possible. I have also been called upon to do consultative work with Deloitte resulting in substantial cost savings to their client in relation to graphics work.

 

Overall, my goal is to exceed the expectations of my clients.
